The lungs are a pair of breathing organs located with the chest which remove CO2 (carbon di oxide) from and bring oxygen to the blood. The lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs located on either side of the chest.
The lungs are covered by a thin tissue layer called the pleura.
There are two pair or lung.
1. Right lung
2. Left lung
Main function of lungs-
The main function of lung is Respiration.
Respiration: In respiration, oxygen from incoming air enters the blood, and carbon dioxide, a waste gas from the metabolism, leaves the blood.
Diseases of lungs
The lungs can have a wide range of problems that can stem from genetics, bad habits, an unhealthy diet and viruses.

One of the best ways to promote good lung health is to avoid cigarette smoke because at least 70 out of the 7,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke damages the cells within the lungs.
Chemicals in the home and workplace, and radon all can cause or worsen lung disease. Make your home and car smokefree.
A cold or other respiratory infection can sometimes become very serious.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water.
• Avoids crowds during the cold and flu season.
• If you get sick, keep it to yourself! Protect the people around you, including your loved ones, by keeping your distance.
